Labour’s Wheelie Bin Mistake
The Labour run Council has delivered yet more wheelie bins to terraces in Headingley & Hyde Park to sit on the street.
Instead of tackling the problems of bins on streets with enforcement action and more frequent collections the Labour Council has decided to deliver yet more bins to block pavements for pushchairs and wheelchair users.
MORE FREQUENT COLLECTIONS
Local Lib Dem Councillor Jamie Matthews said: ”Not only is putting MORE bins on the street a bad idea but the Council has done it without speaking to local people! Residents have contacted me to say that hundreds of new bins just appeared on the pavement one day.”
“I’m demanding answers from Leeds Labour and calling for more frequent bin collections not yet more bins to be filled and left as an obstruction on the pavements. The Council should use the summer as an opportunity to sort out the bin
situation once and for all.”
